The room we got, standard twin room, was recently renovated. There was exceptionally comfortable bed, a safe box, multi-channel television, and tea and coffee making equipment. The hotel was in the central setting near the city centre. And it's a 10-15 minute walk from Rooth, ate there once or twice...

The staff here is super nice! the room was recently redone and tidy, with a bathtub, a good amount of closet space, and AC to keep you comfy. the location is totally awesome, just a stone's throw away from a beautiful botanical garden 🌿.

I liked the bathroom, it was nice - maybe like after a reconstruction. Every day I got new towels and the bin was taken out every day. The tram connection from and to the city center was frequent.
The bed was really uncomfortable, I had backache then; towels was old and sometimes had little holes or spots, glasses wasn´t polished. It´s not possible to buy neither water to drink on the hotel reception, if not so, I haven´t been informed about it. One of the socket was broken - I was worried to plug something into. And there was strange odor in corridor area. Compering with these cases the hotel price was really high for me.

What I have expected, that's what I found. Hotel personnel was very nice. The room was small and clean. Bathroom facilities were very nice. It was quiet and having wireless internet free of charge was a perfect experience.
The price was ok if considering the cost of other Amsterdam hotels but still a little bit overpriced.

Very nice overall experience. Quaint small hotel with exceptionally nice staff. Newly remodelled and decent size rooms with adequate wardrobe space, good services. Particularly good location - near a botanical garden. Walking distance to a lot of cafés and nice cafes.

The desk staff was friendly and helpful. very knowledgeable of the area. plenty of maps were provided and advice given. Its right next to a # 9 tram stop. The #9 is nice because it circles through many of the areas tourists want to go and will take you directly to central station, so the hotel is easy to find. Get a tram pass. Its a great deal. There's also a nice cafe called the elk and linde two doors down. Great food, great beer, filled with locals, all of whom were very friendly to us. It is located in a pretty nice residential area and is right down the street from the zoo (artis). It's more expensive then a hostel, but you get a comfortable, secure place to stay, which was important to us.
The room was small, but by European standards not too bad. There was enough room that two people could move around comfortably. There were two beds, but there was only about 4 in. of space between them, and we had too share a blanket. Not as bad as it sounds though, it's a big blanket so there's not much tug o' war. The bathroom was tiny, which was tough for me (6' 1" 250 lbs.), but it was still useable. My smaller friend had much less difficulty, but I found myself bumping into stuff often while toweling off after a shower. I was dissapointed that the rooms were non-smoking, this is Amsterdam! But there's a nice little coffeeshop down the street a bit.

Friendly staff, convenient location (next to zoo and botanical garden - good resturants - trolley stop outside door).
Pretty basic - very small room, minimal services, etc - but if your goal is to tour Amsterdam and have a nice clean place to sleep and shower this place is just fine

The hotel is expensive for what you get.The room was not cleaned properly, hairdryer in the bathroom never worked and there is no telephone in the room. Not what you would expect for 100euro/night.......
